Claude's smart enough to keep Tuukka fresh despite a shiddy backup.

That goal was filthy, but the B's got it back. Do you guys think the bruins might try to pick up Biron as a back up now that he's on the waiver wire?

they let Khudobin walk over 200,000, I don't know what Biron makes, but I imagine it's more than the 600k they paying Johnson

Best game of the season for the Wings... 22 blocked shots. Penalty kill was the best I've seen it in a long time. Franzen finally looked good and worked hard. Zetterberg's first goal was sic... talk about a tough angle. Gustavsson has been an aweful goalie for Detroit... thought for sure Boston would win just because of that. That last couple minutes had me holding my breath... Overall, fun game to watch.

If Babcock would put Nyquist and Tatar back in the lineup it would make a huge difference for the Wings in terms of speed, energy and scoring. At least Samuelsson is sitting on the bench.

Wings really need a player like Lucic... been missing that kind of player for a long time.

I said to my wife before the game started, they are gonna lose, why did I say that ?

1) Matinee game and the Bruins always seem to lose these
2) There was an event before the game and again this always seems to lead to a loss for the B's

As usual good read Ty.
It is a very nice start by Rask, but as you said it's early.
I was surprised by the choice for back up this year and especially with the difference for a proven backup was 200k. I know it was a cap thing, but it's only 200k? Oh well I hope CJ plays well when called upon.

Missed the game cause I had to work and it was (frank)ing busy
Did we play well at least?

we played well enough to win, no puck luck, and the monster stood up big for them today

as usual the PP let us down, had some hopes given how it went in the pre-season, but just about a full two minute 5 on 3 and another two minute PP late in the third and no goals

that power play is terrible to watch, especially when you get a look at washington's later in the evening. yeah, the oilers are no red wings, but man, totally different approach, this bruins style of pass it around up top and hope a 'big guy' blocks the goalie's view... why not throw the puck in front and get the 'big guys' to muscle it in the net, at least try something different, all those pp's were the same crap that didn't work on the previous try. other than that, good game, lacked intensity, but fun to watch.
